PLATEAU LODGE, National Park

Plateau Lodge provides accommodations ranging from King Studio Pods to Two-Bedroom Apartments. The King Studio Pods accommodate up to three people, feature a king bed, sofa bed, mini fridge, microwave, tea and coffee, an outdoor bath, and a private deck with outdoor furniture. The Two-Bedroom Apartments sleep up to six guests, equipped with a full kitchen, a dining table, a dishwasher, a bathroom, and a separate lounge area. Lodge Rooms offer double, twin, and triple options with shared facilities.

The lodge provides lunch and breakfast options. Communal areas include a self-catering kitchen with cooking equipment, a large lounge and dining area. Breakfast can be delivered directly to guest rooms. The National Park Village has restaurants, and cafes within walking distance.

Plateau Lodge provides a bookable spa pool and a massage room. Tina's Massage offers 60-minute massage sessions. The lodge features a dedicated area for children under 7 with toys and puzzles, and a trampoline, table tennis, and darts area for teenagers. Guests can access 10 cycle trails for mountain bikers, covering all levels. Guided hiking is available during winter at Tongariro Alpine Crossing.

Located in National Park Village on the edge of Tongariro National Park, Plateau Lodge is a 15-minute drive from the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Whakapapa Ski area is 20 minutes by car. The lodge is a six-minute walk from the National Park Village bus and train station. The township provides a 4-Square Supermarket, restaurants, cafes, and rentals for ski equipment.

Plateau Lodge provides Wi-Fi, a self-service guest laundry, and ski and bike storage. Shuttles to the ski area and Tongariro National Park are available. Bike facilities include a wash-down area and cycle trail maps. E-bike hire is available across the road at The Alpine Centre. The lodge can arrange late check-in.
